Islam lays great emphasis on cleanliness. General, people pay particular heed to keep their bodies, clothes, houses and offices clean, But they are neglectful of keeping their cities and towns clean. They do not believe that it is their duty to keep their cities clean. Rather they unknowingly contribute a lot towards making their cities dirty. For example, they eat something in the park and leave the peels and other such things there. They suppose that it is the responsibility of the city administration to keep the cities clean. Some people throw the garbage of their houses out in the street. This is an inapt attitude that must be discouraged. We should be sensible and responsible citizens. We should make mindful efforts to keep the cities clean. We should even persuade others to contribute on this end Secondly, it is the duty of the cities administration to take adequate measures for the cleanliness of the cities. The sweepers should be forced to be punctual and regular in cleaning the streets and roads. The household garbage and other waste material should disposed of adequately. he department of sanitation should be made active and effective. Strict sanitation should be made active and effective. Strict sanitation laws should be made implemented. The public awareness about cleanliness should also be increased. The responsible officials should visit the public places and streets and roads daily to see the condition of cleanliness. Occasional campaigns of cleanliness should be promoted. If we make sincere efforts for the cleanliness of the city, the result would be amazing.
