Learning Outcomes: It will enable students to learn about the importance of research ethics and how the code of ethics can be considered while doing a research.
A researcher is interested in conducting a study to examine the behaviors and attitudes of people of one particular society/city when they are interacting with each other. To fulfill his objective, he observes people’s/subjects’ interaction by visiting public places such as parks, shopping malls, local markets, beaches, public libraries, religious institutes and restaurants. He secretly observes the behaviors of people by closely watching them, notes down their behaviors and even writes conversation to quote in his study along with their names with whom they call each other. He also takes pictures of people secretly to capture their gestures and emotions to provide a solid ground to data in his research. The researcher collects data only for the study purpose.

bhai koi solutions kindly share overhere
i think it is ethical study because there is no harm issue to do this research. although ethical issues arises because of researcher deception.
First of all near to me ,in this research ,researcher should know all the ethical aspect ,in this sanario ,he take pictures secretly ,moreover in his study material he disclose the names as well
The gestures and emotions can be hurt anybodies feeling or emotions .So, as per my point of view he should need permission to take it or avoid such acts
Here researcher is doing covert observation. So it’s a nonparticipant’s covert observation research.
Covert observation:-Covert observations involve the researcher not informing members of the group the reason for their presence; keeping their true intentions secret.
Ethical issues:-This automatically raises ethical concerns. In this case, the researcher does not allow Participants to give informed consent, because it involves deception (secretly observing their behavior e.g. taking pictures and even writing their conversations with name or may not protect others, from the risk of harm. Issue of privacy may be violated in it. Also they will be deceptive the participants.

GDB solution STA 630:-
No the researcher is not doing an ethical study, because according to ethical laws of research
• The experimenter must still inform the participant about the nature of the study, including any risks or harm that the study may create. In addition, inappropriate or excessive inducement is unethical.
• because informed consent to participate is one of the major hallmarks of modern ethical research.
Zubaira Ahmad thanks for sharing
He is secretly doing this research, reason behind that can be the purpose of the study, is non-disclosure. Researcher doesn’t want to disclose the idea of his research. He is observing social interaction of people in public places, so it is impossible to take consent of all the people out there.Generally, this kind of observation is done secretly to know the general behavior of the folks. He also writes down people conversation to quote in his study to get the exact opinions of people related to different social matters and their attitude towards them.
