The objective of this assignment is

  • To give some knowledge, basic syntax and idea about threads of Java programming languages. It will also enable students how to write simple programs in Java programming languages.



Your answer must follow the below given specifications.

  •  Font style: “Times New Roman”
  •  Font color: “Black”
  •  Font size: “12”
  •  Bold for heading only.
  •  Font in Italic is not allowed at all.
  •  No formatting or bullets are allowed to use.
  • Your answer should not exceed 10 lines each.


Lectures Covered: This assignment covers Lecture #  22-30


Your assignment must be uploaded/submitted at or before 28/07/2015.




Write a Java program  which creates two threads excluding main thread considering the following points: 


  • Use Interface for creating threads
  • It should have two classes named “Circle.java” and “ThreadTest.java”.
  • The class “ThreadTest” will contain main function.
  • Sample Output  like:


Main Thread starts here......

Circle 1 Area = 78.54

Circle 2 Area = 153.9384

                              Main Thread Ends here.......


Note 1:  The area of circle can be calculated through formula “3.1415 * radius *radius “. Furthermore, you may assign any float/double value to the variable radius.


Note 2: “Circle 1” and “Circle 2” are the names of the “Circle” class objects
