Graded Discussion Board (GDB) will be launched on 
Thursday, Jan 30, 2020 and it will close on Friday, Jan 31, 2020.

GDB Scenario: 

A company ABC wants a medium-sized network spread within the city consisting of around 100 LANs in different buildings across the city.

Every building is also divided into several different departments (segments) and all the departments should be connected to ensure real-time communication and data sharing.

The key requirements of the company are:

  1. Fast convergence of the network upon adding/removing a new network.
  2. Fastest possible delivery of data from source to destination.

As a network administrator, you are required to select the pair of required devices for the network and routing algorithm to fulfill the requirements of the company.

Devices:

Router and Bridge

Repeater and Router

Bridge and Repeater

Algorithms:

Distance Vector Routing Algorithm

Link State Routing

Justify your selection of Devices and Algorithm with solid reasons.

Green Field county stadium is planning to conduct a cricket match between two teams A and B. A large crowd is expected in the stadium as 10000 tickets have already been sold. To fulfill the viewers’ requirements, the match administrators are willing to install large display screens inside the stadium which should display the match “Live” through several cameras installed on different angles in the stadium.

 

After carefully reading and analyzing the given scenario, you are required to suggest the “most suitable serial transmission mode” with two strong reasons.

Reason 1:- In simplex mode transmission, unidirectional communication is required as broadcast sends signals to display screen and there is no need to send back signals from screen. I think for live transmission simplex mode is a best choice
Reason 2:- Whole bandwidth can be used while using simplex mode transmission, and i think for live transmission simplex mode is a best choice.
