Dzukou Valley - India ! Pictorial Visit To Awesome Valley
The Dzukou Valley is a valley located at the border of the Indian states of Manipur and Nagaland. This valley is well known for its natural beauty, seasonal flowers and the overall flora and fauna.
Altitude: 2450 meters (8000 ft).
Trail Type: Easy to moderate gradients. Steep incline trek of 3-4 kms going through rocky pebbles and stones. Anyone can attempt this trek without much fuss but do remember to carry your nourishment with you.
Rail head: Dimapur is the nearest rail head. Guwahati to Dimapur is 270 kms.
Road head: Shared taxis are available from BOC, Kohima to Viswema Village of Zakhama. Take the NST (Nagaland State Transport) bus from Dimapur to Kohima. Dimapur to Kohima is 74 kms by road.
Base Camp: Reach Viswema Village by shared car from Kohima.
Day 1: Viswema Village to Dzukou, 17 kms, 5-6 hrs.
Day 2: Dzukou Valley to Zakhama, 15 kms, 3-4 hrs.
Best Season: Late June till July & September (Except Monsoon).
