Question #1:
Determine whether the following functions are linear or non-linear with
reason. Also draw graph of given functions by using Microsoft excel or
Micro soft word.
Note: To make graph take the values of domain from 0 to 4.
1. y=-(x-5)2 +6
2. y= 2x3 +2x2 + 4
3. 6x+4y=0
(Marks: 3+3+3)
Question#2:
If the domain of a function Y=300+0.75X is given by the following expression
9≤ X ≤12 then, find the range of the function.
(Marks: 2+2)
Question#3:
The values of disposable income (Yd) and consumption (C) have been given in
the following table.

900 890
950 920
1000 960
Find average propensity to consume and average propensity to save,
marginal propensity to consume and marginal propensity to save at each
level of disposable income and consumption.
(Marks: 0.5 for each)

Given below is an example of a linear function.
40x – 20y = 80
Use the linear function and plot the graph by deriving the value of dependent and
independent variables.

Question # 02:
Keeping in view the given below economic functions find out the values of
dependent variable by assuming values of independent variable from 0 to 4. Also
make graph by using the calculated values of dependent and independent
variables.
1. XY=6

Question # 03:
Briefly explain the concept of 45 degree line and also explain why line of
autonomous consumption does not start from the origin?
