A government agency has been working for the last many years to facilitate the public sector employment through describing jobs, providing employee trainings and keeping demand & supply records of skilled workforce. It facilitate public sector in recruitment process and effective selection of employees. While for private sector their outcomes assists in job descriptions and specifications. Due to new market developments, natures of jobs have been significantly changed for which agency services have become obsolete. It put their mission in jeopardy for ineffectiveness.
Although, the agency provided its services for many years, but nowadays, jobs in the new economy are qualitatively different that many employers find the agency to be no longer useful. Private owners and managers think not to seek the agency in their approach towards staffing because technological changes in the nature of work, competition and a shift from blue to white collar dynamic jobs is making the agency obsolete. It put their mission in jeopardy for ineffectiveness.
During these conflicting views, the agency thought to revamp their approach towards helping companies employ better staff by addressing different jobs and tasks.
In your opinion, what should the agency do when describing and classifying the requirements and skills required for a job?

The conflict should be resolved through negotiations method. Integrating, collaborating &
problem solving negotiating style should be followed as there is high concern for both
the agency and the public sector. Dual concern model be used in this situation, since
agency business rely on the public sector. The dispute or conflict is over difference in
goals, objectives, needs and expectations of both parties. No negative orientation is
visible, the public sectors’ requirements for selection of employees has changed due to
modern trends in employment and variety of skills required.
Steps be taken by the govt agency:
a) Carry out effective interest analysis and creative problem solving to meat underlying
needs of public sector( skills requirements)
b) Assess needs of public sector, oblige and accommodate their concerns.
c) Preserve cooperation by establishing communication with them.
d) Develop win win situation by compromising on cost of recruitment.
which type of conflict is b/w both parties??
