My today paper of HRM-727 Q.1: Big Five Model (Big five Personality dimension). yiu are required to explain which is best for job satisfaction.

Iftikhar, Ahsan & Ahmed started a company & hired around 12 employees initially.

Iftikhar became the CEO of the organization & solely kept the decision making power with him. Therefore, he has the authority to take major decisions for the organization. Ahsan was assigned the duties to give suggestions to CEO (Iftikhar) while decision making but he has not the power to take or finalize any decision by himself. Ahmed was appointed as the in-charge of production department where all the decision made by Iftikhar are implemented & laid down, he is supposed to assign targets to its subordinates, perform a regular check on performance & keep record of target achievement from time to time. Ahmed too has neither the authority to take any decision by himself, nor he is able to give any suggestion in decision making.

Considering the above situation we can categorize the authorities practiced by Iftikhar, Ahsan & Ahmed as:

Iftikhar: Line manager:

As Iftikhar is practicing the power of decision making, he is said to be enjoying the Line authority.

Ahsan: Staff authority:

Ahsan’s responsibility is to give suggestions & proposals to assist Iftikhar in decision making process, in such situation Ahsan is said to hold Staff authority in which he is only allowed to give suggestion but cannot take any decision by his own.

Ahmed: Functional authority:

Ahmed is appointed to ensure the successful implementation of already set plans through other workers. He kept the performance records of employees & the routine duties to monitor the target achievements, but he is not allowed to give any orders by his own not even he is provided by the opportunity to give any sort of proposals during decision making. Therefore Ahmed is supposed to practicing the Functional authority.

Q 1. Jalal is an HR manager in service based company. His boss ask him to promote the constructive conflict in the company. He suggested the boss that “ empower employees to question their bosses to promote constructive conflict”. Will this strategy promote constructive conflict in the company. Justify ur answer (1+4) My answer was yes

Q 2.Ali has started new business and supply medicine to hospitals. His partner mr. Riaz continuously suggest him to supply medical appliances as well. As business is new so he want to focus on one thing in the start. Now Ali is confused which strategy he should adopt owns or his partner. Due to this situation he is unable to focus on his business. What type of conflict is rising in this situation(interpersonal or intrapersonal or both) justify your answer(1+4) My answer was Intrapersonal

Q 3. Adversarial approach is used in USA successfully. If It I applied in Pakistan, will it work. Why or why not (1+4) My answer was NO it will not work here.
