Rehman Malik (wazeer-e-Dakhla) unable to recite Surah Ikhlas...

Rehman Malik and Surah Ikhlas

In Pakistan, which is predominantly a Muslim country, every child is brought up with some Surahs of Quran memorized. The very first Surah is Surah Ikhlas which is learned by any child and this is the most common Surah recited during the Namaz. It is unthinkable that a Muslim cannot recite the Surah Ikhlas.

During the federal cabinet meeting, Rehman Malik, the interior minister failed to read this Surah correctly. He was given a written page and he even failed then. He tried three times but in vain. Instead of showing their utter disdain, all the cabinet members were enjoying the moment and then Babar Awan came to rescue of Rehman Malik and said that it was error of printing on the given paper.

What a lame excuse.

Even if that was the case, then why didnt Rehman Malik knew this short and easy Surah by heart? And listen to these people’s speeches about Islam and everything else.

This is just too much...
