Samsung Galaxy S6 Smartphone Price, Features, Specifications & Review

Specification Reportedly Leak Samsung Galaxy S6 Smartphone

The specifications for the forthcoming Samsung Galaxy S6 may well have been leaked in full.

Numerous nuggets of information concerning Samsung's hotly anticipated flagship phone have emerged in recent months, but we haven't really had a complete picture of what the smartphone will be like.

That's change with a fresh report from BGR, which claims to have been sent photos (which can't be published) and specifications for the final device from a trusted source.

The report confirms that the Samsung Galaxy S6 will indeed be made entirely of metal and glass, with a Gorilla Glass 4 screen. There's no mention of plastic at all.

Speaking of screens, the Samsung Galaxy S6 will apparently sport a 5.1-inch QHD Super AMOLED display. As we suspected, this would mean that Samsung is holding firm on screen size and boosting sharpness instead.

Also tallying with recent reports - this time that Samsung is dropping the Snapdragon 810 from consideration - the Galaxy S6 will apparently run on a 64-bit eight-core 14nm Exynos processor. It's claimed that this is 50 percent faster than the chip that runs the Samsung Galaxy S5.

As for the camera, the report claims that we can expect a 20-megapixel effort with OIS, while the front-facing camera will be a 5-megapixel f/1.8 example with real-time HDR.

There'll be a choice of 32, 64, or 128GB of internal storage, though there's no mention of a microSD card slot.

Mention of a 2550mAh battery might provoke a few raised eyebrows too - the Samsung Galaxy S5 packed a 2800mAh unit, and it didn't have a power-sapping QHD display to run either. We'll have to hope that the new Exynos processor is particularly efficient.

On a more positive note, there will apparently be built-in wireless charging, and you'll be able to get four hours of usage out of just 10 minutes on (quick-connect) charge.

Samsung Pay, the company's answer to Apple Pay, will come as standard, and will apparently work with 90 percent of all existing magnetic stripe payment terminals, and NFC payment terminals.
