Assignment Objectives: 


This assignment will enable students to 


  • Understand the concept of self-consciousness
  • Evaluate the extent of their public and private self-consciousness




The topic of self-consciousness has been touched upon in lecture 10 of your course. In this regard, a 22 item “Self-Consciousness Scale--(SCS-R)” has been uploaded in downloads section of VULMS. Please download the scale, fill and score it as instructed. After that, answer the following questions:


  1. How would you differentiate between private and public self-consciousness? Exemplify! (5)
  2. What is your total score on private self-consciousness subscale? Evaluate your personality keeping in view the obtained scores that how much self-conscious you are on the given scale. (5)
  3. What is your total score on public self-consciousness subscale? Qualitatively analyze the scores by giving examples how publicly self-conscious you are. (5)
  4. How much have you scored on social anxiety subscale? Are you a socially anxious person? Please discuss on the basis of obtained scored and give example.






  • Answer of each question must not exceed 250 words.
  • This assignment is very practical and all about your personalities; please avoid copy pasting from any source.
  • Give examples to support your answers, you can also quote questions given in the scale as examples.
