  3. Four devices are connected through a mesh topology.
  4. Twelve devices are connected through a star topology (Note: Do not consider the hub failure).
  5. Fifteen devices are connected through a star topology and only the hub is failed.
  6. Eight devices are connected through a bus topology.

 

Note: Your answer for Q.1 should be in the same order as given in the question statements.

 

Q. 2. Suppose a small company wants to develop a computer network of 18 computers in its main office. Due to limited resources the company wants a network architecture where a single communication medium can be shared among all other nodes. Considering this scenario, you are required to suggest the suitable line configuration and name all the possible ways through which your suggested line configuration can be implemented. Considering this scenario, you are required to suggest a suitable line configuration and name all the possible ways through which your suggested line configuration can be implemented?
Ans:- In the given situation we can use the following line configurations in which a single communication medium can be shared among all communication devices :-
• Bus Topology
• Star topology
• Ring topology
But the most suitable line configuration is bus topology because of the following characteristics
• Reduced cost
• Less amount of cabling
• No need of a central powerful server
• A single communication cable is needed that is shared among all other devices

Gud seemab..! i was also noticing this. In Q it is said that "if a DEVICE fails"  and you know that Bus is not a device it is a communication medium. so network will no affected

First of all line configuration means the layout of the network( the way in which devices are connected to the link.
as required in the question we hv to implement a line configuration in which all devices share a common communication medium.following are topologies in which a central medium is shared: ( In other way we can say that in the given situation we can implement line configuration using the following ways) :-

  • Bus Topology
  • Star Topology
  • Tree topology

  1. When seven devices are connected through ring topology and only one device connection fails the network will shut down.
  2. When six devices are connected through a dual ring topology and one device connection fails the network does not effect.
  3. When four devices are connected through a mesh topology and only one device connection fails the network does not effect.

  5. When fifteen devices are connected through a star topology and only hub is failed the network will shut down.

In this scenario we suggest following multiple configurations in which a single communication medium can shared among all communication devices:-

  • BUS TOPOLOGY
  • STAR TOPOLOGY
  • RING TOPOLOGY

But most suitable line configuration is bus topology due to its following characteristics:-

  • Less amount of cabeling
  • No need of a central powerful server
  • Reduced cost
  • A single communication cable is needed that is shared among all other devices

Ans: In Celebrity topology the system guests does not impact the system when the hub is not unsuccessful.

Ans: When the hub is unsuccessful the System visitors is impacted.

Ans: In Bus topology the system visitors is impacted and the relationship is unsuccessful.

Ans: I recommend several variety options would be better for this kind of vustudents.ning community social media due to which only one relationship can be assigned to all other nodes. Multiple line configurations in this situation.
