pleas quick reply.

today's paper 3/3/2016

1- Why t-distribution is a whole family of distributions? 2marks

2- If median = 40, what will be the value of 50th percentile. 2marks

3- In a random sample of 1000 women in a locality, 224 women said that they use Aerial washing powder. What is the point estimator and point estimate of the proportion of the women who use Aerial washing powder? 2marks

4- Write a probability function f(x) of a normal distribution. 2marks

5- Explain Null and Alternative hypothesis. 3marks

6- Calculate the class boundaries from the following data. 3marks

Age Group f
20-29 2
30-39 4
40-49 5
50-59 8
60-69 12
70-79 16

7- If Cov(x,y)= -1/16, Var(x)= 13/16, Var(y)= 6/8 then find the liner correlation between X and Y. 3marks

8- The sample variance S²=$\frac{{\sum {(x - \overline x } ){\text{}}}} {n}$
is a BIASED estimator of population variance. By dong little modification in this formula it becomes UNBIASED. Write down the modified formula which becomes unbiased. 3marks

9- A research worker wishes to estimate the mean of a population using a sample sufficiently large that the probability will be 0.95 that the sample mean will not differ from the true mean by more than 25 percent of the standard deviation. How large a sample should be taken? 5marks

10- Three cities A, B, C are equidistant from each other. Mr. Ali travels from A to B at the speed of 35 miles per hour by car, from B to C at speed of 54 miles per hour. Determine his average speed for the entire trip. 5marks

11- Find the E(X) for the following marginal pdf.
g(x)= x/2 ; for 0 < x < 2
5marks

12- last one forgot :/

1) Intersection A and B ?
2) Find the 95% confident interval mean 3.5 to 5.2 interpret this result
3) Mean =7 Median =10 mode?
4) Write the formulas mean, Variance, Hyper geometric distribution
5) The given data is n=50 x=450 p=.39 P0=.3 σ=0.01 , ρ=39, ρ0=0.3, α=0.01 Test the stranded
hypothesis use table values of Z=+-2.58
6) A committee of three person is to be formed from group of 5 people in how many ways
a) Of equal important the person can be selected
b) A president a sectary and treasury can be selected.
7) A random variable X is normally distributed with μ=15 And standard derivation=5 find the
probity that will large then 20
8) If X X 1 2 − is normally distribution with 1 2 0.03 X X µ − = and 1 2 0.1086 X X σ − = then find out the
