Pari you can use any topology you want.. but you have to justify your answer..

If you use star topology, you need a server .. If node fails, network fails so wuts the advantage ?
If you use ring topology, all computers are interconnected.. again if one node fails, wuts the advantage.

Plus what will you do about the fact that in star, server recieves msg and then re-transmits... so time lost

In ring topology, 1st computer recieves, verifies it, and only then passes to next.

This is for 1st question.


In 2nd question, the network they have shown is already a ring topology and therefore, they have asked some other questions.

For Star topology you dont need a server. and star topology is better then ring and bus.
i prefer it xohaib,,, and whatever have you done is not our headache,,,, v simply said that bus or ring is cost affective then star,,, coz star requires an extra system which will be used as a server.
