Careem and Uber are widely used by the people for traveling from one place to another in intra city travelling. After the success of these two big giants Online Bus Riding booking companies are investing their products in Pakistan like Airlift, SWVL etc. Suppose you are hired as a developer by any of these companies to write web services for their application. You are assigned a task to write web services for notifications i.e. users may receive notifications whenever an event occurs e.g. bus arrival notification, booking cancellation notification etc.

Which method you will choose for developing web services for above scenario among the "DOM Parser" and "SAX Parser" and why. Support your answers with some solid reason

lets discuss solution

In the following cases, using DOM parser is advantageous than using SAX parser.

  • Your application needs to access widely separately parts of the document at the same time.
  • Your application may probably use a internal data structure which is almost as complicated as the document itself.
  • Your application has to modify the document repeatedly.
  • Your application has to store the document for a significant amount of time through many method calls.

Answer:
SAX Parser:
We will choose SAX parser for developing web services because sax parser creates no parse tree it is a streaming phase for XML, which means that applications using SAX receive event notification about the XML document being an attribute, at a time in sequential order starting at the top of the document and ending with the closing of root element.
