Question #1:

An XYZ cellular company is providing cellular services in a highly populated city, which is being divided into multiple cells of small geographical area. The company is using microwave links to connect these cells with each other. In a similar microwave link, a microwave antenna of BTS-1 is transmitting a signal with 2 W (Watt) power which is being received by BTS-2. If the received power is 150 mW, calculate the signal loss in decibel units.


Question #2: (In continuation of the above scenario)                                                      5 Marks

BTS-2 is working as a Hub site which transmits the incoming data from BTS-1 to BTS-3 after amplification. If the transmitted power of BTS-2 microwave antenna is 5 W, calculate the power gain of the amplifier on BTS-2.
