Question 1:                                             [Marks 15]

Suppose a XYZ cellular network company has allocated 720 duplex channels in a particular region for the perfect network services. The company wants to replicate the clusters 2 times that utilizes the frequency reuse factor of 12. The minimum distance that is kept between two co-channel cells is 18 miles.

You are required to answer the following questions by considering the above scenario:

a)     Calculate the total number of channels per cell.

b)    Also calculate the maximum number of channels for that given region.

c)     Compute the radius of each cell by keeping in view the distance given in the scenario.

Question 2:                                                  [Marks 5]

Suppose that the frequency reuse factor is missing from the network scenario given in Question 1. You are required to calculate the frequency reuse factor if only two values i.e. i = 2 and j = 1 are given.
