Uploading instructions Your submission must include: 1. You have to make a Web application project in NetBeans which containsall servlet files, HTML and web.xml file and upload it on VULMS as a zip or RAR file. Note:You are required to install NetBeans IDE 8.1 for the development of this assignment. (A guideline document onNetBeans installation and creating web application has been uploaded in theDownloads section of VULMS). Objective The objective of this assignment is to o Give you some practical exercise of creating web application o Understand the concept of Servlets o Understand the concept of Request dispatching techniques Problem Statement: You are required to develop a web application namedEquation Solver. This application takes inputs from user for solving equation and then using radio buttons provides options to select one of the equations and then print the result of equation. This application should contain following files: • An HTML file • Two servlets files • Web.xml file Detailed Description: HTML: HTML file provides an interface for the user. • It contains two text boxes for getting the input of x and y variables for solving equation. • It has radio buttons which have four options to select one of the equations: • It has button named “Solve Equation” which sends the information of the form to servlet named ProcessServlet. Servlets: This application should contain two servlets named ProcessServlet andOutputServlet. • ProcessServlet gets the information from HTML file and performs the processing of solving equation with the help of information received from the HTML file. It then forwards the request to OutputServletusing request dispatching technique. • OutputServlet then displays the result of equation using HTML. Web.xml: It should contain configuration information for servlets. Equation Solver application should have interface as given below: If user inputs value of x 2 and value of y 3 and selects second option: Then, it should generate the following output.
