Scenario

Let’s suppose that you are a sales manager in a big garments store. Your promotion and other benefits are associated with the increase in sales of the products, so, for this you adopt different sales strategies that lead more sales and can generate big revenue.

 

Consider that being sales manager you have adopted a strategy where you have displayed dummies with color full shirts and trousers on the outer window side of the shop that can easily be seen by the people walking outside the shop.

 

Answer and comment on the following questions in the context of Critical success factor and Key performance indicators

 

 

Question No. 1

1-      In the above scenario, identify that where does Critical success factor and Key performance indicators lie?

Or, Differentiate between the Critical success factor and Key performance indicators in above scenario.

 

2-      How does the key performance indicator (KPI) show that the strategy you adopted has got successful or not.
Or, On the basis of which factor the success of the strategy can be measured (Through which entity KPI can be measured which reflects the success of the strategy).

Answer :  

the strategy adopted by displaying dummies with color full shirts and trouser on outer window side of the shop when seen by the people outside , they definitely considered to come inside the shop, because they judge it that there must be some exciting and good material present in the shop. So now when they come the sale manager responsibility is to deal with the good manner and show them what they desire.

 

Question No.2

Below there are some points given and you need to identify them which one is KPI (Key performance indicators) and CSF (Critical success factor);

 

1-     Average revenue per customer

CRITICAL SUCCESS FACTOR

2-     Increase or decrease in average revenue

The following example will clarify the difference. A CSF for improved sales may be adopting a new sales

strategy through better and regularly arranged display of products in the shop windows. However, the KPI

identified would be the increased/decreased Average Revenue Per Customer as a result of the strategy.
