QUESTION NO 1.(MARKS 15)

 

You have learned about flowcharts, DFD and ERD in series of lecturesabout information system‘sdesign. In this exercise you are required to design information system for recruitment and placement.

 

SCENARIO

 

National Recruitment and Placement Department (NRPD) is responsible for getting manpower requirements from government and public organizations. These organizations cannot hire employees without involvement of NRPD. HR department in each organization collects manpower forecast annually and after approval of head of the organization, it sends a memo to NRPD stating forecast of laborers, professionals and scholars required in their respective organization. NRPD evaluates and consolidate manpower requirements in various fields at country level. NRPD shares the forecast to all national education and professional institutes about the number of placements forecast in coming year in various departments mainly Engineering, Medical, Education and Agriculture. These institutes setups their strategies for coming year accordingly. At the end of first quarter of the year NRPD make a series of announcements of vacant positions and calls for application over their web portal. Once enough applications are received (5 Applications against a post), the NRPD coordinates with National Assessment Center (NAC) who conducts the qualification test for each field. The Tests are prepared in coordination with top educational and professional institutes. Candidates appear in test and those who got 70% points are invited for the series of interviews. First level of interview is conducted by the relevant organizations and these submit their recommendations. NRPD evaluates the recommendations and calls the top 10% of candidates. During the NRPD candidate evaluation a series of test are conducted e.g. job fitness test, health test, and criminal background test (minimum). Qualifying candidates are offered a 3 months internship in relevant department on the end of which department sends evaluations report.Other candidates are notified via email regarding their disqualification and reasons.1+1 internships are offered for each position. After evaluation,NRPD selects the best candidate. Non-qualifying candidates are issueda certificate internships. Candidates having previous internships are given 1% preference for each internship. The selected candidate is notified via letter and notification on NRPD portal. Candidate must report to the department within 1 month of time to the HR department of relevant organization. Once joined department sends copy annual appraisals to NRPD. The Appraisals must be signed by both the head of the department and employee.

Answer: It has following processes and sub processes involved in the process of recruitment:

Description

 

Provincial NRPDs also maintain the records of citizens. There are four provinces and your designed system should help provincial NRPDs to maintain information about citizens. You need to ensure followings,·In each province, there are multiple cities that have various residential societies. There cannot be two cities with the same name in a province. Similarly, there cannot be two societies with the same name in a single city.·Men and Women may be General, literate, professional, and scholar. For scholars the citizen must be science postgraduate and for professionals citizens must possess undergraduate degrees in applied sciences. One citizen at time can be only general, literate, professional or scholar.·People live in societies. Men and women both work in societies. Children learn in a school in a society.·A citizen can be a man, a woman, or a child, and has a first-name, last-name father name, id, and birthdate. Children are any people under the age of 18.

 

 

Only man can be married up to four women. Although the govt. strongly disapproves, divorce, and subsequent remarriage, is allowed.·For each marriage, store the date of marriage and information about who are the children of the married family. Parents can only have child after their marriage Based on above scenario you are requiring answering the followings.
