The activity of Graded Discussion Board (GDB) will be open on August 07, 2017. Students will be able to post their comments for 48 hours only.

No GDB will be accepted or entertained after due date, so be punctual and prepared. To avoid any problems make sure your system and the internet connection is up to date.

GDB will not be accepted on e-mails.

When companies are formed for business, their main objective in most cases is to make profit and achieve a successful growth, for that purpose different strategies are used to sell products or services that are being offered by them. Companies try to create, promote and sell products or services that could satisfy their target customers. Marketing is a strategy that makes a business grow, It is key to know that what kind of marketing method to use in different area to achieve high sales rate, market share.

Marketing is considered to be a process of exploring, creating, and delivering value to satisfy the requirements of a target market at a profit. Marketing has to some level stayed the same in many years but as technology has evolved and left effects on marketing. Evolution and entrance of Internet into our lives has brought many opportunities and that has also affected marketing. Since the evolution of Internet, the Internet selling has established in everyday life in the society and is even replacing the traditional modes. Internet marketing and traditional marketing has its own importance.

Is “Internet marketing” a best approach alone or the “traditional marketing” and are the two kinds of marketing independent of or complementary to each other.

TRADITIONAL MARKETING refers to any type of promotion, advertising or campaign that has been used in use by companies for years, and that has a proven success rate. Methods of traditional marketing can include print advertisements, such as newsletters, billboards, flyers and newspaper print ads. Marketing activities continue to evolve from traditional strategies to nontraditional methods that involve the internet. A small business can benefit from integrating both approaches to market its products.  Traditional marketing activities typically involve advertising, publicity, sales, merchandising and distribution. Traditional marketing tools are hoardings magazines TV/Radio print media etc.

INTERNET MARKETING or online marketing refers to advertising and marketing efforts that use the WEB and email to drive direct sales via electronic commerce, in addition to sales leads from Web sites or emails. Online marketing campaigns include Whole Foods collects email addresses on their website to advertise new products, sales, and events in their stores. ADVANTAGES of E-marketing One to One approach different content by choice, Different content by choice, Geo marketing, relatively inexpensive, Global business.

According to my opinion E-marketing is best approach because it is inexpensive and requires huge investment. The internet deal procedure is well thought of delivering goods traditional deal procedure, which is done as a real time deal, and therefore a lack of product .E- technologies marketing is the product of the meeting between modern communication technologies whereas traditional marketing remain to be stagnant. But on the other hand disadvantages of E-marketing is ILLEGAL or unethical practices, physical demonstration and needs to be tangible. So traditional marketing go side by side with E- marketing.
