Marketing activities continue to evolve from traditional strategies to nontraditional methods that involve the internet. A small business can benefit from integrating both approaches to market its products. Traditional marketing activities typically involve advertising, publicity, sales, merchandising and distribution. Traditional marketing tools are hoardings magazines TV/Radio print media etc.
INTERNET MARKETING or online marketing refers to advertising and marketing efforts that use the WEB and email to drive direct sales via electronic commerce, in addition to sales leads from Web sites or emails. Online marketing campaigns include Whole Foods collects email addresses on their website to advertise new products, sales, and events in their stores. ADVANTAGES of E-marketing One to One approach different content by choice, Different content by choice, Geo marketing, relatively inexpensive, Global business.
According to my opinion E-marketing is best approach because it is inexpensive and requires huge investment. The internet deal procedure is well thought of delivering goods traditional deal procedure, which is done as a real time deal, and therefore a lack of product .E- technologies marketing is the product of the meeting between modern communication technologies whereas traditional marketing remain to be stagnant. But on the other hand disadvantages of E-marketing is ILLEGAL or unethical practices, physical demonstration and needs to be tangible. So traditional marketing go side by side with E- marketing.
