Question No 1: Marks 10
Q1.Suppose data is being transferred between two cell phones via blue tooth. You are required to answer the following questions with proper reasoning:
1. What will be the line configuration between them? (Point to point or Multipoint).
2. What will be the relationship between the cell phones? (Peer to Peer or Primary Secondary)
3. Which type of communication will it be? (Local or Remote communication)
4. What will be the medium of communication? (Wireless or Wired)
Question No 2: Marks 5
Q2. Suppose computer A is connected to another computer B by a passive hub at home. You are required to mention the type (LAN, MAN or WAN) of this computer network? Support your answer with reason.
Question No 3: Marks 5
Q3. Identify the following transmission modes as simplex, half duplex or full duplex.
a. Walkie talkie
b. Telephone conversation
c. A person talking into microphone
d. Viber calling
e. TV broadcasting
BEST OF LUCK
Q.3: Identify the following transmission modes as simplex, half duplex or full duplex.
a. Walkie talkie (Half-Duplex)
b. Telephone conversation (Full-Duplex)
c. A person talking into microphone (Half-Duplex)
d. Viber calling (Half-Duplex) *** But NOT Sure
e. TV broadcasting (Simplex)
Note: All answers are just contribution for helping other students, Please don't copy and paste it, Just try to understand major concepts. Best of luck...
C is simplex because data not comes back from computer to microphone
c. (Revision) A person talking into microphone (Simplex)
Special Thanks to "Rana Naveed Khalid"
yes i agreee
C:person talking in microphone is simplex mode
not half duplex
D:viber calling full duplex mode
a. Walkie talkie(simplex)
b. Telephone conversation(half duplex)
c. A person talking into microphone(full duplex)
Q.2: Suppose computer A is connected to another computer B by a passive hub at home. You are required to mention the type (LAN, MAN or WAN) of this computer network? Support your answer with reason?
1) Geographical area:
As we knew that, A and B computer connected with each other at home, it's one good reason to understand that, our network is Local area network LAN. Because local area network always restricted to limited geographical area like home, work station, building etc.
2) Passive Hub:
if we talk about passive hub, it is central connecting device in network that act as a point contact for wires from numerous stations. But it doesn't coordinate as a signal regeneration or processing of signals. So it's second good reason to understand that, we are under local area network LAN. Suppose that, we are in WAN or MAN network, definitely we need to regenerate signal to maintain network effectiveness . But here we are using passive hub, so we are in Local area network.

Question No 3: Marks 5
Identify the following transmission modes as simplex, half duplex or full duplex.
no 3 (A person talking into microphone) is simplex
As the signal moves one direction only that is microphone to computer processor and can not moves from processor to the microphone.
What you think now? please inform me
but in phone conversation, both person can talk and listen so it would b full duplex.
