Question No. 1                                                 [Marks: 5]

Hamming distance is an error detection technique which is used to correct number of bits in the data.

You are required to find out the missing column values of each row by proper calculation.

Question No. 2                                                       [Marks: 5]

Suppose in a communication system of an organization, data rate of the signal is 2Kbps and it has the duration of noise signal 1/100 seconds. Calculate the number of impacted/affected bits by showing all the required steps of calculation.

Question No. 3                                         [Marks: 5]

A MAC address is of three types; unicast, multicast and broadcast. You are required to identify and write down these types of the given MAC addresses below:

= 2000 bits (as 1Kb = 1000 bits) Duration of noise                                   = 1/100 Seconds

No of Impacted Bits      =?

No of impacted bits       = Data Rate * Duration of Noise

= 2000 * 1/100

= 20 bits Answer
