for detail solution carefully read LECTURE NO. 31 in page # 160 of handout and make GDB :-)

widely used is TDM but this is less effecient than FDM.

FDM is limited and more expensive than TDM but effecient.

TDM is very nice but if the user will increase the effeciency will decrease.

TDM is more efficient, reliable and noise controller than FDM that why it is best than FDM and widely used...........

FDM is inherently an analogue technology and TDM is a digital technology both are use to mix up several signals and then combine them to give a single signal over a shared medium (i.e. many users can use it.

TDM is a newer technique and FDM is an older technique. there are chances of less distortions and interference in signals in TDM so it is proffered in telecom industries

Both are used. Generally, FDM is for wireless, TDM for wired

Time-division multiplexing (TDM) is a type of digital (or rarely analog) multiplexing in which two or more bit streams or signals are transferred apparently simultaneously as sub-channels in one communication channel, but are physically taking turns on the channel. The time domain is divided into several recurrent timeslots of fixed length, one for each sub-channel. A sample byte or data block of sub-channel 1 is transmitted during timeslot 1, sub-channel 2 during timeslot 2, etc. One TDM frame consists of one timeslot per sub-channel plus a synchronization channel and sometimes error correction channel before the synchronization. After the last sub-channel, error correction, and synchronization, the cycle starts all over again with a new frame, starting with the second sample, byte or data block from sub-channel 1, etc. TDM is a newer technique

 

Frequency-division multiplexing (FDM) is a form of signal multiplexing which involves assigning non-overlapping frequency ranges to different signals or to each "user" of a medium. FDM is an older technique
