Assignment Questions

Question 1:                                                                                                                               Marks 10

Question 1:

Serial port contains a special chip for input/output which can communicate in two different modes. Explore and describe these modes and which one is better in the serial communication.

Note: Solutions containing the image of any text will reward zero marks.

Question 2:                                                                                                                               Marks 04

thnxxx zeemal  for sharing

file not opening! getting error!

idea for solving assignment

Qno.1 Two modes  i) Asynchronous ii) Synchronous   (compare these two modes and suggest which one  is better)

Qno.2 read page no 112 of handouts

Qno.3 complete steps are given on page 110 of handouts.

if i am wrong then plz tell me

In Q no.1 m not agree with you  B FOR FAZAL. Cz according to my knowledge this chip is UART. Also UART has different modes instead of Asynchronous & Synchronous

yup u r ryt we have to tell either which mode is better in serial communication....

ok then plz provide names of different mode...?

yes.u r rite.two modes are synchronous and Asynchronous

B FOR FAZAL m also agree with u tht two modes are synchronous ans asynchronous RaJa AhMeD bro agar apko malom hae tu kindly share your ideas

Firstly somebody tell me which sort of device are you thinking that is lyk a chip on serial Port??

if you are thinking about Timer device then, Timer is work with synchronous mode. OR If you are thinking about UART device that also work with Asynchronous mode, than how can you say that both modes are available?
