A request before solving it:
This is very easy assignment which requires only the implementation of a given scenario. This implementation will build your understanding of real mode and protected mode limitations more clearly. So, do not paste your solution from any kind of source. Just do and describe the solution in steps if possible. Otherwise describes the reasons of No answer shortly.
Question: Marks 20
Ahwas installed 64 bit operating system on his PC. Unfortunately, his system crashed and could not boot even in the safe mode. He has two equal partitions of his 120 GB hard drive. He has an important data on his secondary partition. He has a DOS bootable USB drive with FAT16 structure. Is it possible for Ahwas to access his important DATA from hard drive and copy to USB drive through available DOS bootable drive? Give logical reason for your answer.
Note: Google the different possibilities for the given scenario assuming that it happen with you. Implement all founded possibilities on your system then suggest a feasible solution for Ahwas within steps. You also can use any other utility within the scenario limitations.
ð Contact through Skype or email for any other query.
BEST OF LUCK
Then,it means Ahwaas cannot copy files in USB.
i think .u r right
Its Not Simple
ye Ahwas bara ei koi wo banda ha....64 bit Window khud oraa li aur wakht hum sb ki jaan ko daal diyaaa....
Yaa Allah Please koi System programmer nazil kar dy. 20 Marks ka sawal ha.
ans is no and logic is that
if ahwas has a 16 file allocation table then he cann’t access his data. Because FAT 16 has some serious defect which are as under
FAT16 cannot copy data more than 2 GB. MS-DOS FAT file system is only in support of partitions of 2GB. The capacity of hard disk between 2to 120 GB must be divided into multiple partitions, and capacity of each partition should be less than 2GB. FAT system is not always the best way to manage hard disk
The maximum number and size of cluster supported by FAT file system decide the limitation of 2GB.
MS-DOS or Windows is not in support of FAT driver from 2GB to 120GB.
So he cannot partition of 120 GB hard drive to 2 GB, because his system crashed and that’s why he cannot copy his data from hard drive to USB drive.
wafa gi why you are force to format that 120gb disk ?
wah g wafa g.
apki assignemnt me kis jaga yeh likha hai k apne 120 GB ka data copy karna hai???????
ager usb 4 gb ki hai tu just copy the data at equal to usb capacity, then if you want to copy 60 Gb data, you can again again repeat this process until you copied all the important data.
Dear, fat16 can manage hard drive up to only 2gb but there is 60gb partition so we can use fat16 if we do partion 60gb further 2gb partions and this is very complex task.
if he used ntfs ?
why we need format hard disk please explain!
assignment is too tough that now GDB is not needed anymore for this course wat u say???
