Assignment Questions

A request before solving it:

Dear Student,

This is very easy assignment which requires only the implementation of a given scenario. This implementation will build your understanding of real mode and protected mode limitations more clearly. So, do not paste your solution from any kind of source. Just do and describe the solution in steps if possible. Otherwise describes the reasons of No answer shortly.

Question:                                                                                                                               Marks 20

Question:

Ahwas installed 64 bit operating system on his PC. Unfortunately, his system crashed and could not boot even in the safe mode. He has two equal partitions of his 120 GB hard drive. He has an important data on his secondary partition. He has a DOS bootable USB drive with FAT16 structure. Is it possible for Ahwas to access his important DATA from hard drive and copy to USB drive through available DOS bootable drive? Give logical reason for your answer.

Note: Google the different possibilities for the given scenario assuming that it happen with you. Implement all founded possibilities on your system then suggest a feasible solution for Ahwas within steps. You also can use any other utility within the scenario limitations.

ð     Contact through Skype or email for any other query.

BEST OF LUCK

Sir nay kab kaha kay sara data bachana hai , Important data ki baat ho rai hai ,

fat16 to sirf system ko boot karne k liay kaha hai ,is ko imagine karo kay aik OS hi load ho ga, app jab aik Operating system main chalay jao tab OS to C: se load ho ga , baki app usb drives bhi access karte ho , other drives bhi . so data q nai copy kar sakte .
bilkul kar sakte hain copy.

wafa ji data is successfully accessed..... so follow the link..jo Muhammad yousaf bhai ny diyaa...

Oh Allah k BandOOO for God sy ab  is confusion se nikalo bhi

ans

No

Logic:

ahwaas can't copy 60 GB data

Because ahwaas has a FAT16 USB drive to copy data meanwhile fat16 can copy only 2 GB data while ahwaas has secondary device with 60 GB data so it is not possible for ahwass to copy 60 GB data in FAT16 USB drive.and there is also not possible to partitiond the secondry drive in 2 gb equal partition because pc is crashed.

FAT 16 limited only for 2 gb there is no possibilty to copy 60 gb data from secndry drive to 2gb fat 16 usb drive it is not mentioned in assignment ahwaas can use more then 1 usb drives or any other usb rether then fat16

this is the simple logic so dont b much frightened

Is it possible for Ahwas to access his important DATA from hard drive and copy to USB drive through available DOS bootable drive.

not complete 60GB...only important..important can be a bit.

jahan tak mujy smj aya yahn pe storage ka nai kaha gya k humain kitna data recover krna hai ...agr data 2 gb se upar hota or ye bat mention hoti to aap ka logic smj ata tha ...ab just possiblity pe bat atki hai to ........agr data 2 gb se below hua to its mean possible hai think about it

ntfs.exe

Instructions for using the 16-bit utility (SEE 6.x only):

  2. Copy the ephdxlat.ovl and the ACCESS.EXE file to the floppy diskette.
  3. Boot from the floppy diskette.
  4. At the prompt run "A:\>access.exe"
  5. Enter the Client Administrator password.
  6. Remove the floppy diskette.
  7. Insert another floppy with a third party tool to access NTFS (e.g. NTFSDOS or NTFSDOSPro)
  8. Run "A:\>ntfsdos" OR [ NTFS DOS (freeware) http://www.ntfs.com/products.htm ]
  9. The user should be able to see the content of the encrypted drive.

KNOWN ISSUES: The drive letters assigned to each drive might be different from what was in the original settings. For example: drive H: can be marked as "G:"
