A request before solving it:
This is very easy assignment which requires only the implementation of a given scenario. This implementation will build your understanding of real mode and protected mode limitations more clearly. So, do not paste your solution from any kind of source. Just do and describe the solution in steps if possible. Otherwise describes the reasons of No answer shortly.
Question: Marks 20
Ahwas installed 64 bit operating system on his PC. Unfortunately, his system crashed and could not boot even in the safe mode. He has two equal partitions of his 120 GB hard drive. He has an important data on his secondary partition. He has a DOS bootable USB drive with FAT16 structure. Is it possible for Ahwas to access his important DATA from hard drive and copy to USB drive through available DOS bootable drive? Give logical reason for your answer.
Note: Google the different possibilities for the given scenario assuming that it happen with you. Implement all founded possibilities on your system then suggest a feasible solution for Ahwas within steps. You also can use any other utility within the scenario limitations.

20 pages prh liye fir v confused..ksi kpas logic nhi hai sb bs han,nhi keh rhy hain..wafa ny logical ans dya hai so mere khyal se he cant acces.FAT16 ki limitations hn..so he cant.bat khtm..
me also agree with wafa.
but true answer is yes.
In case of FAT file system on 160 GB hard disk it is possible to coy data using DOS bootable USB drive with FAT16 structure.
But in case of NTFS file system on 160 GB hard disk it is not possible to copy data using DOS bootable USB drive with FAT16 structure.
i google it and found NTFS can also be accessed. not directly but there are some indirect methods.
You can't see the NTFS formatted partition using that DOS bootable USB drive with FAT16 structure.
kindly shortly 3, 4 lines ma logic bta do adnan bro
regards... time is to short..
dos is real mode(16bit) when system starts in dos mode then it is 16 bit and with the help of fat16 u can easily access drives
the only problem occure when u try to access a NTFS partition because u cannot see this partition directly on DOS. to access NTFS partition different method is used to access that partition. (details are lengthy)
yes u r 100% right. visually u cannot see but still it can be accessed. the details i don't know but discussion i had read says yes.
not only visually but u can't copy also because of encryption mehtod used in ntfs file system.
