A request before solving it:
This is very easy assignment which requires only the implementation of a given program. This implementation will build your understanding of BIOS interrupt 13H routine more clearly. So, do not paste your solution from any kind of source. Just do and describe what happens and how you tackle the errors if any.
Question: Marks 20
Implement the program of lecture number 27 by using the BORLANDC compiler. File path of this program should be at the root directory of D partition and the file name should be LBA.txt. After the implementation of this program you take a memory dump which shows the successive operation of this program. Also describe the values of this dump to prove the successive operation and also describes the whole processes of your implementation within few lines.
At the end of this assignment, show the data of your text file “LBA.txt” after the execution of above program.
after going to path go to directories option set the path as follow
set the path and compile and run ur prog
+ sam there will be two BORLANDC folder in ur drive then you have to write D:\BORLANDC\BORLANDC\INCLUDE
and in the option of library directory
check ur drive where u save BORLANDC nd dekhain k yhn two folder hun gy BORLANDC k name sy agr two folder haen to set ur path as i mention above
Salam .. My program is running fine but don't know what value need to be enter following questions ask by program:
1) enter the lba low double word
2) enter the lba high double word
i also dn't know about this msg to instructor that which value we hv to enter as lba low and high double word and also for path value
sir how we take memory dump?
Reserved memory means that installed operating system reserved some area for its own tasks or for the later use. Purpose of reserved area is according to that area and there are many reserved areas in an operating system. You can take memory dump by using “debug” command as we did in the previous lectures.
mem Dos command only works on DOS Box not on our built in DOS. But DEBUG command does not work even in DOS BOX as it gives error msg:
friends to take dump u have to connect a flash drive with your system and then install software for flash drive in your system after this u will be able to take dump
fellows plzz tell me out put after write 27 chapter code is LAB.txt file name
Hassan raza make sure that lba.txt is not our program file which we can compile in BORLAND C. our program should be with ".c" or ".cpp" extension to compile in BORLAND C compiler. u have to save ur prog file as .cpp or .c
