Objectives of Assignment:

• You will be able to learn about the Project Management importance and its basic concepts. • You will be able to learn the concepts of Software Development Lifecycle Models and its implementation to some extent.

• Your Assignment No. 1 covers Lec#1 to Lec#8.

Question 1: 5 Marks

Clinix is going to implement an Inventory System for purchase & sale purpose. Some requirements have been gathered and few left. Inventory System Project has been divided into different phases to improve management control. Identify the each project phase and write them against the correct description.

a. Delivering Clinix medical inventory system to the client and then acknowledge results for its success

b. Monitor changes and responding to the problems for Clinix medical inventory system

c. Developing a schedule, budget and requirement gathering for creating medical inventory for Clinix

d. Achieving and building the basic goals of Clinix medical inventory system

e. Estimating resources, cost, number of people for making an medical inventory system for Clinix

Question 2: 5 Marks

Daewoo Bus Service wants to make an Online Reservation System for their convenience. Their manual system is not efficient and has more chances of mistake. They consult software house to make an Online Reservation System. Project requirements are very well known & it is carried out sequentially and different phases such as requirement analysis, design, testing, verification and maintenance are completed before the next is taken up. Which Software Model will be used in this case? Write the three advantages of that Model. NOTE: Submit “.doc” file only. Every student should provide his/her own work, exact copying of the assignment (or some portion of the assignment) from the internet or other students will lead to copy case and zero marks will be awarded. We will use Waterfall model.

 

Advantage of Waterfall Model:

Simple and easy to use and understand.

Phases are processed and completed one at a time.

Easy documentation and manage.

Clearly divide the problems into different phase that may be performed independently.
