This is the way i used Eclipse for the first time.... follow it and you will be succeeded inshaAllah.
I find a discussion here in which you were talking about Eclipse and Android Studio.
Best one is Eclipse, but Android Studio creates a little errors and issues also there is another problem that you will hardly find help over internet about Android Studio.
I personally suggest you to use Eclipse because of one of its best feature that it is portable.
Here m gona explain how to use Eclipse.
1).. Install JDK (Upgraded version is 1.8), and set their path as under,
MyComputer properties > Advance Tab> Environment Variable> (create a new variable and set its path as C:\Program Files\Java\jdk1.8.0_31\bin) and variable name should be "path".
Second path will be with the name of "JAVA_HOME" and it will be (C:\Program Files\Java\jdk1.8.0_31)
2).. Download ADT Bundle from Eclipse Site, it contains Eclipse, SDK, SDK.exe file, you are just required to extract it in C: drive with any name, i suggest you to rename it as ADT.
3).. Create a folder in D: drive with the name "Eclipse Projects", and run eclipse.exe from C:/ADT/Eclipse/ path. and give it workspace from D:/Eclipse Projects/.
4).. Now your eclipse is ready to use, and you need to run SDK from Eclipse and update following packages.
HAXM, Google Play Services, Android 2.3.3 with API Level 10, Android 4.4.2 API level 20.
5).. Create a new project within android application from file>new option and enjoy.
This is how i use Eclipse for android development oftenly...
