Kindly discuss about this table

In project management, the term scope has two distinct uses- Project Scope and Product Scope.

Scope involves getting information required to start a project, and the features the product would have that would meet its stakeholders requirements.

Project Scope
"The work that needs to be accomplished to deliver a product, service, or result with the specified features and functions.
Product Scope
"The features and functions that characterize a product, service, or result.

Notice that Project Scope is more work-oriented, (the hows,) while Product Scope is more oriented toward functional requirements. (the whats.)

If requirements are not completely defined and described and if there is no effective change control in a project, scope or requirement creep may ensue.

Project scope is the part of project planning that involves determining and documenting a list of specific project goals, deliverables, tasks, costs and deadlines.

The documentation of a project's scope, which is called a scope statementterms of reference or statement of work, explains the boundaries of the project, establishes responsibilities for each team member and sets up procedures for how completed work will be verified and approved. During the project, this documentation helps the project team remain focused and on task. The scope statement also provides the project team with guidelines for making decisions about change requests during the project.

It is natural for parts of a large project to change along the way, so the better the project has been "scoped" at the beginning, the better the project team will be able to manage change. When documenting a project's scope, stakeholders should be as specific as possible in order to avoid scope creep, a situation in which one or more parts of a project ends up requiring more work, time or effort because of poor planning or miscommunication.

Effective scope management requires good communication to ensure that everyone on the team understands the scope of the project and agrees upon exactly how the project's goals will be met. As part of project scope management, the team leader should solicit approvals and sign-offs from the various stakeholders as the project proceeds, ensuring that the finished project, as proposed, meets everyone's needs.

Please note, a project's scope statement should not be confused with its charter; a project's charter simply documents that the project exists.

thanks dear MCS

What about product functions? Will they be included in the Scope of the project?

How should we start the PROJECT SCOPE in the MOBIQUIZ SRS......

Can any one tell me .. that

Is there any chance that teacher/supervisor will marked our assignment "copied" and Zero Marks?

Thanks and waiting for sr. reply.

nice work MCS, other students must also discuss about the topic.

Scope of project

Project scope defines the concept and range of the proposal solution, and limitations identify certain capabilities that the product will not include.Clarrifying the scope and limitations help us to establish realistic stakeholder's expectations.

sometimes customers request features that are too expansive or do not lie with in the intended project scope.propose requirements that are out of scope must be rejected ,unless they are so beneficial that the scope should be enlarged to accommodate them

keep a record of these requirements and why they were selected,as they have a way of reappearing

CAN ANY ONE TELL ABOUT WHICH TOOL BE USED TO DEVELOP THIS PROJECT IS IT WEBSITE BASED OR ONLY MOBILE BASED

both web and mobile base
