Question No.1: A linear function is one in which the power of the independent variable is equal to one. Given below is an example of a linear function.

20X –10Y =30

Solve this linear function to find the values of X and Y variables. Also draw this function by taking the calculated values. (Marks: 2+2+1)

Question No.2 

Akhter Solar was established in 2005 with its primary aim to become the first foundation of Solar Panel Industry in Pakistan, manufacturing Photovoltaic (PV) modules with all the various requisites of the silicon industry. Due to an increase in load shedding problem, demand for solar panels has been increased. Suppose Akhtar Solar cannot increase the supply of solar panels with his existing plant and it wants to enhance his business with new plants but due to shortage of funds he has to take loan from bank. If he borrows $3000 from bank at the rate of 15% interest per year, find the amount due at the end of 3 years if the interest is com-pounded annually? Also mention the compounded interest on the borrowed amount.
