Q1. The picture given below shows a scene of an accident of a van carrying compressed gas cylinder. Consider yourself a journalist, who have just reached the location of the accident, and make a NEWS DRAFT of five sentences keeping in mind the “drafting” rules and using the following vocabulary bank.

 

VOCABULORY BANK:

Main highway roads were blocked today by emergency controlling staff and the traffic was diverted as there was a major accident of a van caring compressed gas cylinder. The van collided on the main road and crashed leaving flammable gas exposed on the highway. Both sides of the highway were shut down before the engine caught fire. Once the accident scene has been cleared, the traffic will be resumed on the highway.

NEWS HEADLINE: Royal visit of Duke and Duchess of Cambridge brings benefit to Pakistan

The royal visit of Duke and Duchess of Cambridge to Pakistan was from 14 to 18 October 2019 and brought positive impact for the country as it would show the world but it’s not a terrorized country but a safe country for people to visit. During the visit of the royal couple, minister Fawaz Chaudhry also focused on the visit instead of highlighting the ongoing political protest as the visit of the royals is more important for Pakistan.

 

The visit program intended to showcase Pakistan in a welcoming manner as a dynamical, aspirational and forward-looking nation and, to keep the historical relationship of Pakistan and Britain alive. The program included visit of modern capital Islamabad, lively Lahore, mountainous countryside in the north and the bordering side of west Pakistan.
