Instructions:

  2. If the file is corrupt or problematic, it will be awarded zero marks.
  3. Plagiarism will NOT be tolerated. Plagiarism occurs when a student uses work done by someone else as if it were his or her own; however, taking the ideas from different sources and  expressing in your own words does not fall in this category.
  4. No assignment will be accepted via e-mail.
  5. The file should be in Word doc form; the font color should be preferably black and font size should be 12 Times New Roman.

 

 

Q1.How would the story ‘The Gift of the Magi’ change if the settings were different? Would this be an effective story if it were set in Pakistan? Rewrite the story accordingly.                  10

Q2. Mr. Behrman risks his life for the sake of Johnsy. He sacrifices his own life to give life to Johnsy. In the light of this description, write a descriptive character sketch of Mr. Behrman. Also create a word cloud based on the character sketch you wrote. Paste the word cloud as well as write the major words of your word cloud.                                                                          10            

Q3. Write a dialogue between the swallow in the “The Happy Prince” and the nightingale in “The Nightingale and the Rose” in which they are discussing their particular situations. Your dialogue should have ten turns for each character.
