Q1. English is perceived as a passport to better employment and social prestige in Pakistan. Describe some of the challenges faced by online language learners to achieve English language proficiency for real life usage.                                                                                                            10 Marks                                                                  

Q2. A literary text is a piece of writing, such as prose or poetry, which has the purpose of telling a story or entertainment. Using literary texts in the language classroom can make the students more aware of the language they are learning, help them develop skills and strategies they can apply in many different situations and contexts, increase their interest and motivation, and make the learning of the language more enjoyable.

Keeping this in mind, design two English writing activities for Grade 5 students, using two different literary texts.                                                                                         10 Marks

Solution:

 

Here are some of the most common challenges that online language learners face to learn English online and after learning how can they English in their casual life.

  • Nobody should think little of the significance of realizing how to portray and talk around a language point they do not have a clue.
  • Basically you should do some jargon remembrance, and finding out about syntax. There is simply no chance to get around it, however this ought to be viewed as valuable to your objective of really figuring out how to communicate in another dialect.
  • Vocabulary is one of the key building blocks in learning online English. The more words a learner knows, the more they will be able to understand that they hear and read and the better they will become at expressing what they want to learn while learning online English.
  • To study the problems and challenges on the implementation of language learning programs a simply interview and questionnaire survey was held. Interview and questionnaire survey was done to fourteen students from information and technology department. Regarding their language learning experience, they have been learning for six to thirteen years. This interpretation was intended to identify the significance of that particular item based on student’s perception on the implementation of the language learning program.

Prose:

  • Follow the patterns of speech and communication
  • Uses everyday language
  • Sentence and thoughts continue across lines
  • Has a grammatical structure with sentence and paragraph

 

Poetry:

  • Incorporate nonfigurative language
  • Poems usually stand out in page with columns, varying line length and more white space on a page than prose.
  • Traditional poetry has deliberate patterns such as rhythm and rhyme.
  • Many poems have a formal metrical structure repeating of beats.
