American Lenses:
These are soft lenses.
These lenses tend to have a high technical specification.
These lenses are reasonably sharp.
These lenses physically looking wonderful.
French lenses:
French lenses are in the main, a mystery to the English, though they are little more favoured by Americans cinematographers.
German Lenses:
German lenses are very brittle, crisp and hard lenses. They also provide clear vision.
These are analytical and very logical lenses. An analytical lens is imperative for creating an interesting paper.
These are also fast critical lenses.  It is also a common literary analysis technique.
These lenses are also used in macro photography as well as micro photography.
English Prime Lenses:
English prime lenses are usually warm, emotional, have dark moody shadows and come with a relatively high definition.
The English Cooke zooms:
Mostly directors used Cooke lenses.
The English Cooke zooms are very gracious in their shadow rendition.
These are soft and provide the detail of shadow.
Cinematographers choose Cooke lenses for the "Cooke Look” a sharp, subtle, smooth rendering that provides dimensionality and high contrast, and pleases the eye.
