SEMESTER FALL 2013
ASSIGNMENT # 02
DUE DATE: 30TH JANUARY, 2014
Almas had been studying in a Masters Degree program in Management
sciences for nearly past three semesters. She had been considered one of the
shinning students of her class who had been a high achiever having confidence
in her abilities. But in her fourth semester she had not submitted a single
assignment due to some medical reasons, and based on her good past results
she had had a sequence of extensions in the deadlines. But this practice doesn’t
stop here; she became habitual of such delaying tactics. As a result, these
practices were now being exacerbated by her inability to work.
In order to maintain her good grades now she had become much more anxious
about the quality of her first assignment. Despite of having enough extension
in the deadlines, Almas seems stuck in a vicious circle where she started
thinking that longer she will be handling her work the better would be the
quality of her work. With this state of mind she unnecessarily indulged herself
into needless revision and perfection of her work which cased further delaying
in her assignment and other activities.
Keeping in mind the above scenario you are advised to explain followings:
1. What is the leading cause of her poor productivity and career self
2. Based upon your subject knowledge recommend the techniques to
“Almas” in order to reduce these types of needless delays.
