Welcome and Introduction to the Course
A warm welcome to all the students of course entitled Human Relations (Mgmt611) in new Semester (Fall 2012). We hope that you will find this dynamic and vibrant course crafting a very prolific change in your personality as well as in your professional life. You will not only gain theoretical knowledge but will be able to create an alignment between theory and real life practices at individual as well as organizational level.
Human Relations is an interdisciplinary field that facilitates to inculcate rationalized skills and knowledge. The course will broadly cover the basic concepts; set of guidelines and practices that would be applicable at all levels including individuals, small groups, multidisciplinary teams and organizations. It will help the students to develop strategies that would resist any kind of change in order to enhance the capabilities of the individuals. A particular section has been dedicated to interpersonal and inter-group relations that aim to develop sensitivity and understanding of the values, beliefs, lifestyles and attitudes of individuals. A huge emphasis has been given to Self-Awareness and its importance so that students could identify their strengths and weaknesses and could bridge the gaps within a specific time period.
In short, the course has been designed to inform, educate and support students for a better quality of life. This will create dedication and professionalism in students. An atmosphere of understanding, satisfaction and fulfillment will be created, that will prove to be a success.
In this course your knowledge will be tested through Quizzes, Graded Discussion Boards (GDB), Assignments, Mid-Term and Final Term Examinations. All the testing instruments will not only test your knowledge but also provide you the opportunity to face the challenges in the practical life ahead. You can only benefit from the test instruments if you attempt them by using your own skills.
