Dynamics of Pakistani job market has transformed due to digitalization
and the unification of the young blood in the organizations. Young
professionals prefer such organizations which are more research oriented and
provide more career development. One of such young professional Mr. Arif
Alvi is working in Creative Textile Mills (CTM) Faisalabad. He is conducting
a qualitative research work on “Group behavior and its effectiveness” so
that he would be able to better analyze the trends related to group behavior of
the employees of CTM.
He started his research by conducting an in-depth interview sessions to
collect the primary data. One of the question he asked from his informants
was: “If they have ever joined any particular group what were their reasons of
association. Three of informants from HR department Mr. Shah, Mr. Gillani
and Mr. Ahsan responded this question as under:
Mr. Shah articulated his approach that I joined a group where members
had proficiency to produce more in a group rather than working
Mr. Gillani, responded that he joined a group where they had
enthusiasm to take up the challenge of mega projects and each member
was motivating and assisting each other in the challenging projects.
Third member Mr. Ahsan shared his experience and retorted that he
amalgamated with a group that provided inclusion, control and
affection to its members and ultimately his relationship with other

Control is the need to exercise leadership outlets for this need. Some individuals do not want to be a leader. For them, groups provide the necessary control over aspects of their lives.
Affection is the need to develop relationships with people. Groups are an excellent way to make Friends and establish relationships.
