Scenario: A nationwide conference of HR managers was held in Lahore last month. HR managers from different organizations discussed the training programs of their respective organizations on the sidelines of the conference over a cup of tea. HR manager of Northern Beverages PVT mentioned that they keep a trainee under the direct supervision of his/her immediate supervisor who constantly guides and monitors the trainee’s performance with immediate feedback when required. HR manager from Sky Lights LTD held that his organization find no time for dedicated training sessions and therefore only transfers employees from one managerial position to another so that they may add more to their skills while working on different positions. HR Manager from Buraq INC mentioned that they have a dedicated staff college where they provide different training programs to their employees where they are only required to go through learning programs while totally off from the official commitments. Employees get official assignments after the successful completion of training programs.
