Mr. Hamza is a resident of Islamabad submitted an application regarding malpractices of government schools in the villages to National Assembly Standing Committee on Federal Education and Professional Training. Application highlighted different issues mainly shortage of teachers in these government schools. Another gap identified by the complainer is that school teachers are not habitual to complete the whole syllabus within stipulated time and that’s why students have to suffer in board exams. For that purpose standing committee set an agenda and called upon relevant authorities to investigate the matter on urgent basis and advised to submit a comprehensive report with cost effective solutions in meeting held by standing committee. Relevant authorities inquired the matter and after a long discussion committee ordered education department to take control actions to regularize teachers and devise monitoring mechanism for government school teachers.
In the light of above scenario explain which two types of external control methods have been used by the National Assembly Standing Committee on Federal Education to design solution of the said problem.
