Background:

A product progresses through different stages in its life time. The sequence of stages from introduction, growth, and maturity to decline is referred to as ‘Product life cycle’. Some authors also consider “product development” as a product life cycle stage that comes before introduction. Each product is associated with different strategies and changes to move to or stay under a specific stage. Some products complete whole product life cycle and some even vanish before even getting into maturity.

Requirement:

Following is a list of products. You need to discuss in which product life cycle stage the product falls. Justify each with one solid reason for being in that particular stage.

Suzuki Mehran:

Suzuki Mehran is at Decline Stage.

Reason: Suzuki Mehran is going down because the company introduced new products which is better than Suzuki Mehran and have new and advanced features.

J.:

  1. is at Growth Stage.

Reasons: J, is at growth stage because they have high competitors. J, have sales but not high the products are approaches for rich and allegiant peoples.

Dettol surface cleaner is at the Maturity stage.

Reason: Dettol brand is very old and famous across the world. People are very familiar with the products and trust of that company. This is at the Maturity stage because no one competes it.
