There is a firm XYZ. The management claims to offer lucrative and market competitive salaries to all its employees. It offers same financial package to all the employees who work in the same cadre. While the organization claims for good packages, some of the workers are very motivated with these packages while others are not. They assert that money is not the only thing in the world for motivation and organization must do some thing that can satisfy the inner urge. Q1: What are the factors of motivation that cause some of these employees to be happy? Q2: What are the factors of motivation that cause some of these employees to be unhappy? Q3: What could be reasons that are making these employees dissatisfied? Q4: Which compensation system this organization has employed? Word limit: 200 words

It is interesting that out of the 23 job factors listed for the survey, yet with the exception of two items (white-collar workers' choice (B) and blue-collar workers' choice (C)) groups selected the same top ten factors, although with different rankings. It is significant that good pay was considered as the most important factor by the blue-collar workers, but it ranked as the least important for white-collar workers.

What are the factors of motivation that cause some of these
employees to be happy?
Answer:
Company is paying worthwhile & market competitive salaries and also giving
financial packages. So Money and other financial reward are working as motivation
factors.
Money motivates people, and extra money motivates people to work extra.
Employees compete to raise productivity or standards. It is not always possible to
promote people, so money is a simple way to reward workers.

 

Question # 2
What are the factors of motivation that cause some of these
employees to be unhappy?
Answer:
Some times does not work as effective motivation tool. For some employees
money is not more important job satisfaction is more important. Company is demanding
more work. They need other benefits, such as an award ceremony or dinner, a club
membership, a travel ticket, a car, a window office, etc.

What could be reasons that are making these employees
dissatisfied?
Answer:
Employees are not satisfied with their work. The assigned to them is more than
their stamina. So job dissatisfaction, relation with boss, and poor working condition are
making employees unhappy.

Which compensation system this organization has employed?
Answer:
