Discussion Question:

Suppose you applied in a prestigious organization for the post of HR manager. The day of interview has finally arrived and you properly dressed up along with complete knowledge to make the lasting first impression. Mr. Ahsan was the interviewer who shakes hand and invites you to get comfortable. Your interview has started!
Mr. Ahsan asked the mundane questions to grow your confidence. You felt comfortable that you are doing fine. Suddenly, he asked the tougher questions. He leaned backed and asked why you want to leave your current job that you had been working for 5-years. You start to explain that you want to leave that for personal reasons. His body language become different and starts to investigate without any smile. All right, you think, be honest and tell the actual situation that your supervisor is incompetent and he has personal relations with senior management, and there is no chance for your promotion. Mr. Ahsan replies that it is childish reason for wanting to leave. You are mature enough and have what it takes to make it in this company. You think how he dares to talk to you that way; who does he think he is? So you respond with an angry tone in your voice. Here, you should understand that you have become a victim of one of the classic tricks of the interviews i.e. stress interview.

Requirements:
Does becoming angry in an interview, when pressurized, indicate candidate’s propensity towards violence? Why or why not? Give strong reasons.

Solution:
During an interview it’s up to the interviewee how to handle the question; either
it’s a stress interview or another one. Communication becomes very important
while giving interview. Interviewee must ignore the interviewer’s tantrums and
his aggressive behavior and keep himself focused on answering the question to
the best of his ability. In the above scenario the interviewer asked stress
question again and again just to check the person’s ability to handle the stress
situation and to know either this person can work under pressure or not. So the
interviewee must not show the anger but handle the question with patience
and calm behavior by telling them how he is suitable for the post and why he
want to change the current job.

sorry tariq bro but on focusing the question

Does becoming angry in an interview, when pressurized, indicate candidate’s
propensity towards violence? Why or why not? Give strong reasons.

i don't thinks so its appropriate ans one. the ans should be in storng reason where we comment about the behavious of interviewer and applicant, is it indicates violence or not?????????
i think its ans should be like, . Interviewers deliberately lead applicants into false sense of security—the comfortable interaction. Then suddenly and drastically, they change. They go on the attack. And it’s usually a personal affront that picks on a weakness they’ve uncovered about the applicant. It’s possibly humiliating; at the very least it’s demeaning.
if the candidate breathe it easily than he go on to a good ability of professionalism, Those who don’t, well. . . . .

I also agree with adonis... this leads to right answer

what i have understand the question is when pressurized, indicate candidate’s
propensity towards violence? i.e on humiliating question if candidate got angry what should we called it tendency towards violence or not Give strong reasons.
