MGT501 - Human Resource Management GDB 02 will be opened on July 29, 2015 for discussion and last date for posting your discussion will be July 31, 2015.

Mr. Kashif joined an organization as Manager Accounts. His boss, Director Accounts, used to keep a very close eye on expenditure and, being prudent, believes that nothing should be spent that is not strictly necessary. The boss has left the country for three months due to his personal issues. He gave a responsibility to Mr. Kashif to prepare management accounts within two months; and for this, Kashif has to get information from the payroll department. However, there are two problems.

First, another employee in Accounts Department has gone on sick leave for a month and a temporary replacement is needed. The HR department says, “We need a staff requisition from the Director Accounts before we can get a temp. Sorry, you’ll just have to cancel your weekend”.  

Second, the payroll department is happy to give the information Kashif needs except directors’ salaries – which are essential for the accounts to be truly accurate.

What is the underlying problem in this scenario and its cause(s)? What would you suggest the Director Accounts to avoid such situations in future as faced by Kashif?

I think solution is very simple you should not go here & there. Just keep scenario in the mind and solve like this:

There are only two problems which has already given in the scenario.

Employee went on sick..

.Payroll dept. refused to give detail of director salaries.

Reason is that Director Accounts didn’t inform all other staff members about his visit & as Kashif will work as his assistance. Therefore all problems took place.

Suggestion is that Director Accounts should fully informed to all other staff member before going on visit. And should develop proper strategical planning for this.

ek or problem bhi hay or wo ye kay HR department is refusing to give a temp worker so now what ?

yes saim. iska mtlb ye h k usko apne weekend ki chution pr b kaam krna pre ga khud e..weekend meand saturday,sunday !

Toh in problems me se Ab mere khyal se solution yahi ho ga k , 

Future me , Staff ki kammi na ho, Mean , Staff storage , when we need emergancy staff , they should be there .

2nd , A legal advisor hona chahye , jo boss ki gair majodgi me sb handle kre , Now kashif is there , and he should be on the rank of potential Employees and Future me , employee leave kam , and job work done zada ho by all the staff , with extra grace money . 

aur Director salaries is a complicated issue , bcz kisi b salary me haera pheri se , pori managmnt effect ho gi, So , Trusted people ko job me aesi zimedari deni chahye , and , koi Boss k raplica hona chahye jo uski gair mojodgi me kam kre ,like assistant of boss .

Director salaries ki info usse ni di gai , jo k deni chahye , bcz accuracy in salaries is must be good, for a managmnt .

In this scenario the problems are given in the form of two proper points. you just have to explain these problems in your words in the solution(problems), and than assign suitable ideas for solving the respective problems. 

NO.1:

solution:

              In case of absence of another employee, Mr.Kashif  have to work more than routiens for a month.

NO.2:

Second, the payroll department is happy to give the information Kashif needs except directors’ salaries – which are essential for the accounts to be truly accurate.

solution:

       Payroll should provide complete information about all aspects of company.
