1. Analyze the family-friendly benefits offered by both companies. Discuss with solid
arguments which company’s benefits are better for the employees.
ABC Company is providing time to their employees from their working hours in which they are able to solve their family matters. On the other hand, XYZ
Company is providing medical and educational allowance of Rs.1500 along with salary to their employees for their children.
In my opinion, XYZ Company’s benefits are better and beneficial to their employees as compared to ABC Company. The arguments are as follows:
¨ As the XYZ Company is giving medical benefits, so it is beneficial for the employees in that sense they are motivated to their work wholeheartedly with the thinking that their Company is also taking care of their families good health.
¨ Also Company is providing educational benefits to their children which is also a big motivational factor to their employees because the Company is taking care of future betterment of their children.
¨ Another strong argument is that, if employee is motivated at large extent, then he/she works with full concentration to their work and politely which is beneficial for the success of the company.
¨ These benefits create positive thinking about the company in the minds of the employees, so they also think for the better future of the company and perform their duties devotedly.
¨ These allowances provided by the company provide compensation to the employees in their expenses and help them to save their own money for further use.
2. Suppose in both companies 50% employees are unmarried/without children i.e. half of
the employees can not avail these benefits. Is there any motivational impact on those
employees who do not avail these benefits? Explain briefly.
Yes, there is a motivational impact on those employees as well which can not attain these benefits. When those employees got married, then they will also attain these benefits from the company. Hence they get motivated seeking their bright future and their family. Also some employees may be seeking that company will bear their marriage expenses. These thinking and hopes provides motivation at large extent to those employees who are not availing these benefits. In my perspective another motivational impact for those un married employees is that their married colleagues/friends taking advantage from the company which provides the happiness to those employees and they get motivated to their work with loyalty which is also beneficial to the company’s success in the market.
