Scenario:

Abdul Rehman works for Al Zohaib group of textiles and is preparing for the company's upcoming range of winter clothing. He is currently researching online to know what is in vogue this season. Moreover, he is also networking with contacts from the press and fashion magazine editors to understand the changing tastes of consumers. In addition to this, he is also visiting different malls to collect information for changing trends in the fashion industry.

Question:

 Identify which management role is Abdul Rehman playing in the organization according to the discussed classification of managerial roles? Justify your answer with two arguments.
