SME Management (MGT601)

Due Date: November 27, 2019         Marks: 05

Topic: Entrepreneurship

Objective of the Discussion

The prime objective of this discussion is to understand the concept of promoting entrepreneurship.

Learning Outcomes

After attempting this activity students will be able to understand the role of entrepreneurial schemes in the development of SMEs.

The State

Small Medium Enterprise (SMEs) play an important role in the development of the economy of any nation.  We live in the age of entrepreneurship and promoting entrepreneurship is the basic foundation of SMEs. The numerous public initiatives have also been launched across Pakistan to empower entrepreneurs with seed funding. Prime Minister of Pakistan recently launched “Kamyab Jawan, Youth Entrepreneurship Scheme” with the allocation of billions of rupees. In previous governments had also been taken the same sort of initiatives for young entrepreneurs with different names.  The required results are not satisfactory in comparison to the allocation of budget to youth entrepreneurial schemes.

Point of Discussion (POD)

What sort of steps should be taken to meet the desired results of youth entrepreneurial schemes by the Government of Pakistan? Discuss at least five points.
