Learning Objectives:

The main objective of this activity is to get the students familiar with the importance of CRM
systems to improve customer services and build sound customer relationships.

Learning Outcomes:

Students will learn about the important features of successful CRM systems for companies in
order to improve their relations with customers in an effective way.

THE CASE:

Consumers have superior bonds with the particular brands they use, but some complex tools &
techniques to analyze customer data have allowed marketing companies to customize and
manage those relationships. Customers expect companies to recognize what sort of relationships
they want and to respond properly. Despite spending billions on CRM systems annually, still majority of the companies are unable to implement CRM system successfully to understand and
build sound relations with customers. Some companies are still not aware of what sort of
relations their customers want with them. As a result, these companies often manage
relationships improperly, and committing mistakes that damage their relations with customers.

REQUIREMENT:

Considering the above case, what could be the features of a successful CRM system that enable
companies to understand customer relationships in a more effective way?
